"I like to feel material in my hand first. I like to learn new things; different things. Wood and paper are best to work, I can feel the dent. I saw the boats in Victoria Harbour, Hong Kong."

Kwok is blind and having developed his idiosyncratic style of drawing creates delicate and colourful artworks. Using a biro pen Kwok scratches lines into the surface of mount board. Feeling for the indents he adds a colour ink wash and a final layer of wax pastel to highlight areas. Kwok moved from Hong Kong in his teens when he still had his sight. His artworks retain an eastern aesthetic.

Kwok is a talented and prolific artist, working skilfully across mediums of textile, ceramic, origami and paint.
